As I suffered yet more BBC and Channel 4 News it felt like I was in China again.  The solid mass of anti-independence propaganda was astonishing.

We all know from John Humphry's revelations and the general tenor of the broadcast news that the presenters and journalists are biased in favour of the EU against the UK. What is surprising still is that they have no sense of professional honour.  They have no feeling that, as professional journalists and editors they should attempt to be impartial.

I have lost confidence in the broadcasters entirely and would encourage people to turn off their TV or radio during news and current affairs.  The broadcast media news is propaganda and it is corrupt.

The huge problem that this onslaught by the media poses is that the Fourth Estate, the media, is now failing the People and democracy.  Can we ever recover?

We now know that MPs renege on their promises, even on an issue as important as the independence of the UK.  We know that broadcasters on the networks that are supposed to be impartial treat them as platforms for their own political opinions and class prejudice.  If nothing is done we will all lose faith in our institutions.  I would predict a period of increasing corruption in society as people fail to see any reason for resisting it.  It is also likely that people will detach yet further from their social responsibilities.  Mainstream political parties will become replaced by the extremes. Government will clamp down with all the technology at their disposal and we will become like China.

Why the smug, unprofessional editors and journalists on our televisions and radios cannot see where they are leading us is a mystery.  Perhaps they are already entirely corrupt and selfish; perhaps they have already lost their faith in democracy and civil society and are the vanguard of the coming changes; perhaps they are the face of the authoritarian future, regarding their own beliefs as the absolute truth.
